I may be alone in this, but here goes...
Look, I get all the legal stuff, but if I bought something - *I* bought it. So, why am I restricted from having that content on all Xboxes I own? (I own 2) Yes, I know I can use said content on any Xbox as long as I am signed in, but that is the rub, What if my kid wants to play the Halo map pack I bought on our other console? He does not want to play under my name, nor should he have to do so.
Here is my proposal:
- ANY content purchased through the marketplace (free or otherwise) is licensed to the Live ACCOUNT (applies to entire family if Family pack is in place), not the console.
- Content can be used by anyone in the family account on a console REGISTERED to a user in the family account.
- Add a function (that can be found easily) to the profile/menu/whatever to download all purchased content to the console you are signed on at the time. (It is an incredible pain the backside to download all that content piecemeal.
